Naples, a city in southern Italy, lying on the Bay of Naples and is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the World. Naples is near Mount Vesuvius, a still-active volcano. It has centuries of important art and architecture with major landmarks which include lavish Royal Palace, Castel Nuovo and many 13th-century castles. It is well known for its historic castles Nuovo, religious structures, city’s foremost landmarks; the main city square is the Piazza del Plebiscito bounded by Royal palace and oldest opera house with its main shopping centre and social hub.
